Power restored for thousands in SF, peninsula

SAN FRANCISCO

At about 6:20 p.m., 2,797 customers lost power along the Peninsula, mostly in Daly City and Pacifica, PG&E spokeswoman Brandi Ehlers said. Those customers had power returned by 9 p.m.

Ehlers said that outage was caused by downed lines in the area of Skyline Boulevard and Canterbury Avenue and appears to be weather related.

An outage reported at 7:27 p.m. in San Francisco temporarily affected 2,459 customers in the Pacific Heights, Nob Hill and Russian Hill neighborhoods. Those customers had power restored by about 8:50 p.m.

The cause of that outage remains under investigation, Ehlers said.
