$1,000 reward offered to help catch mural vandal

SAN JOSE, Calif.

Supervisor Dave Cortese's office put up the money after someone spray painted over the mural at Huran Drive and Santiago Avenue, near Welch Park. It happened either Monday night or Tuesday morning.

A group of children and community volunteers painted the mural on a wooden fence to promote peace in the neighborhood.

Authorities are hoping a $1,000 reward will help catch the vandals who defaced a mural at Huran Drive and Santiago Avenue in San Jose.
