Kitty is currently the Executive Director of Samaritan House in San Mateo, California. Samaritan House is one of the leading safety-net nonprofit agencies serving low-income families and individuals in San Mateo County with food, shelter, clothing, health care, counseling, education classes, and holiday assistance. She has also taught Kindergarten, Second Grade, and High School in Regular and Special Education in the Bay Area and in Santa Barbara, California. Kitty is a consultant in schools with children who have autism and special needs in the Bay Area and has worked in a residential substance abuse treatment center in San Francisco and a psychiatric hospital in San Diego.
Lopez attended University of California Santa Barbara and a has California Teaching Credential and B.A in Psychology. She serves on several community boards including Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City, HEART (Housing Endowment and Regional Trust of San Mateo County), and Past President of the San Mateo Rotary Club.
