SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The Professional Business Women of California's annual conference is in May, and typically we talk to the faces of the event - including keynote speakers.

But on Wednesday, we talked with a young woman who received a scholarship from PBWC.

Claire Alford is a first-year student at Santa Clara University.

She's a public health science major, plans to attend medical school and says she's passionate about making healthcare more assessable, especially amid the coronavirus pandemic.
