The first and strongest quake was a magnitude 3.0 that struck at 8:14 a.m. and had a depth of 8.2 kilometers. A 2.8 quake then struck two minutes later, and a 2.4 struck two more minutes after that.
This is an area that has been inundated by small earthquakes over the past several months.

According to the Geological Survey, people typically report feeling earthquakes larger than about magnitude 2.5.
The closer to the surface an earthquake occurs, the more ground shaking and potential damage it will cause.
No injuries or damage have been reported.
