Description of Duties: Develop creative concepts and designs for the growth and sustainability of ABC7, KGO-TV in San Francisco. The ideal candidate will have outstanding style and design sense, be a strategic thinker, story-teller and communicator. This position is responsible for the look and feel of on-air products, promos, web and marketing materials and must add value to all creative development. Candidates will have record of cutting-edge and original design and be able to solve problems on tight deadlines. Candidates must be self-motivated and demonstrate the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, both independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Must possess production skills and be comfortable leading and growing a staff of artists. Must have organizational skills and knowledge of a newsroom environment. Must be skilled at presenting ideas and gaining the approval and satisfaction of internal clients. This position reports to the Creative Services Manager.
Preferred Qualifications: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have proven leadership skills. Candidates must be comfortable on both Macs and PCs running AfterEffects, PhotoShop, Illustrator and 3D Studio Max. Must have extensive knowledge and experience in graphic production. VizRT and Flash knowledge is a plus. A four-year college degree is required in Bachelor of Arts or Fine Arts, or equivalent professional experience.
