Both westbound lanes of the San Rafael-Richmond Bridge reopened around 9 a.m. today after at least five vehicles crashed and congested traffic for miles, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Two small delivery trucks and up to four other vehicles collided around 7:35 a.m. on the bridge's incline just west of the toll plaza, CHP Officer Peter Van Eckhardt said.

One person suffered minor injuries, according to Van Eckhardt.

A Sig-alert issued at 8:04 a.m. was canceled at 9:04 a.m. and traffic was reportedly backed up at least 2 miles, Van Eckhardt said.
