Bus Operator Keith Brown, transit dispatcher Linda Montouth and transit supervisor Allen Perry all helped a mother revive her baby boy who stopped breathing while on an bus.
The incident happened at Seventh and Franklin streets in Oakland around 10:30 a.m. on May 24, according to the board. The mother brought her baby to Brown, who was driving the bus and immediately pulled over to call the transit's dispatcher Linda Montouth.
Montouth alerted emergency responders and dictated instructions for Brown to give to the mother. Perry lent support to the driver.
The three were able to help the mother revive the boy before paramedics arrived.
The mother and son will also be present when the board gives the three employees their certificates.
