BART officials will hold public meetings at 7 p.m. Monday and Friday regarding a projected $500 million extension that would continue BART light rail service from the Pittsburg/Bay Point station to Antioch, BART spokesman Linton Johnson said.
The extension would use a Diesel Multiple Unit train to service two new stations, one at Railroad Avenue in Pittsburg, and one near Hillcrest Avenue in Antioch, Johnson said.
Monday's meeting will take place at Nick Rodriguez Community Center at 213 F St. in Antioch, and Friday's meeting will take place at Pittsburg City Council Chambers at 65 Civic Drive at Pittsburg.
