Bobby Walker was driving his 2007 Harley-Davidson on Highway 80 just west of American Canyon Road at about 5:25 p.m. when he approached stopped traffic at a speed exceeding 65 mph, according to the CHP.
Walker lost control of the motorcycle while applying the brakes and was ejected as it went off to the left side of the roadway, according to the CHP.
He was transported to Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Vallejo where he was pronounced dead at about 6:30 p.m.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident, according to the CHP.
