5 injured in SOMA stabbings

Police are investigating a stabbing Saturday morning that resulted in injuries to as many as five people in San Francisco's South of Market District, according to police.

Police officers and emergency medical crews responded to the area of Market and Seventh streets where several victims were reported wounded in what appeared to be a gang-related stabbing at about 2 a.m., police said.

Five victims were hospitalized with stab wounds related to the incident, according to police, who reported that none of the injuries appear to be life threatening.

No suspect information was immediately available and no arrests were reported as of 3:30 a.m., police said.
