Nearly 4 million people are on a waiting list to get a $40 coupon from the government for a digital TV converter box.

Sunnyvale-based company Retrevo is trying to make it easier for those people to get one.

"Unfortunately the government ran out of funding to send out more coupons so that's why Retrevo set up an exchange to match people that might have an extra coupon with people that need a coupon," Retrevo spokesperson Andrew Eisner said.

People with extra coupons that they are willing to give away can go to Retrevo's Web site, where they will be matched with someone who needs one.

Anyone with an analog TV not hooked up to cable or satellite will need a converter box by June 12, 2009.
