Friday, San Francisco Police Chief Heather Fong was honored. Her photo has been added to the collection of police chiefs dating back to the 1950s. The wall is filled with famous people of San Francisco, from actors, to politicians, to author Dashiell Hammett, who wrote "The Maltese Falcon" at John's Grill.

Fong was appointed by Mayor Gavin Newsom. She has served five years and is retiring as soon as a new chief is selected.
