MTC officials say the plan, which is called "Change in Motion," is a 25-year vision for a regional transportation system that bolsters the region's economy, safeguards its environment and ensures equitable transportation access for all residents while taking into account the changing environment.
The 142-page document was developed over two years, with thousands of Bay Area residents providing input, and was adopted by the MTC on April 22.
To save costs and paper, MTC encourages people to view the plan online.
However, people who would like a printed copy, may send an email to library@mtc.ca.gov, send a fax to (510) 817-5932 or call (510) 817-5836. People should provide the name of the document they're requesting as well as their name and mailing address.
MTC officials say a new online tool is available for those who want to learn more about projects and programs identified in Appendix 1 of the plan.
The tool can be found at www.transportation2035.com.
