A Moss Landing conservation group recently videotaped dolphins attacking and killing a porpoise in Monterey Bay.

Scientists say they have long suspected dolphins, but they have never had proof until now.

They are still not sure why the normally docile dolphins are attacking the porpoises.

Last year, 74 porpoises washed up on state beaches, though not all of those deaths are blamed on dolphins.
