The teel was originally scheduled for delivery in October of 2008. However, problems with welds on the prefabricated steel deck pieces kept pushing the delivery date back.
Now the pieces are expected arrive in the Bay Area in about four weeks.
Caltrans says despite the delays, the bridge project should still be on schedule to open in 2013.
