Jobs bill headed to House of Representatives

WASHINGTON

The measure provides tax breaks for companies that hire unemployed workers as well as much anticipated highway funding for states.

Some Democrats feel the $35 billion proposal is too small, but will likely support it because of the pressure to help create jobs.

The bill is the first of several election-year jobs bills.

President Obama is expected to sign it when it reaches his desk.
