Teachers will still be able to take students to the school library, but, children won't be able to check out books or visit the libraries during recess.
The school district is making $2.5 million in cuts to balance its budget for the 2010-2011 fiscal year.
Other cuts include: eliminating summer school, increasing class sizes, and workers to take six furlough days.
