"There's so much injured wildlife, they really need all the hands they can get, so wherever they need me, I'll be there," Stephany Helbig said.
Helbig, 20, just completed special training to deal with working around hazardous materials.
She will spend three weeks working to clean oil from soiled birds and other animals so they can be released into the wild.
The oil spill has killed or injured thousands of birds, turtles, and other animals.
