Diane Schuler was the mother who drove a car filled with children the wrong way on the Taconic. Eight people died in the crash, including Schuler, her daughter and her three nieces. Three men from Yonkers died in the vehicle Schuler hit.
Newsday reports a documentary company from Brooklyn paid Schuler's husband Daniel for materials to be used in an investigative film.
Relatives of some of the crash victims called the news disgraceful.
The documentary company is reportedly led by Robert F. Kennedy's youngest daughter.
