In an effort to preserve natural resources while at the same time ensuring that there are outdoor spaces for Bay Area dog owners to walk their pets, the SFSPCA and local dog-owner coalitions launched the website Eco-dog.org.
"Eco-Dog marks a wonderful opportunity for the Bay Area to prove that pets can enjoy public spaces without harming the integrity of natural resources," Crissy Field Dog Group chairwoman Martha Walters said in a statement.
