Giants fever hit the state capitol on Thursday where hundreds of people lined up to take a picture with the World Series trophy.

The line was so long, it snaked down the stairwell and through the halls. Some Giants fans waited for hours, which was not a big deal to them considering they've been waiting years for a world championship.

"I'm going to post it on my Facebook page and give it to all my family," said Sacramento Giants fan John Zyss.

"I'm glad they brought it to Sacramento because a lot of fans here travel to the Bay Area to see the team, in fact we already have tickets for next year," said Sacramento Giants fan Ron Rojo.

"It was the best thing I can ever say," said Sacramento Giants fan Vickie Beaudikofer.

Gov. Jerry Brown also posed for a picture with the trophy with Giants President Larry Baer and Chairman and CEO Bill Neukom.
