The new joey is the first koala birth at the zoo since 2000. It was not until last month that the baby girl emerged from her mother's pouch and climbed onto her back.
The new joey will make her public debut at the zoo next week.
Her mother and father have been on loan from the San Diego Zoo since 2003.
