Viera is said to be worn down by the demanding schedule and wants to spend more time with her husband, who has multiple sclerosis. Vieira left ABC's 'The View' in 2006 to replace Katie Couric on 'Today.'
When asked for comment NBC released a statement saying only that "The 'Today' show anchors are currently under contract and firmly in place."
