Apple offers cheaper iMac to education market

Apple is now offering a cheaper iMac to the education market.

The model costs $1,000, which is $200 less than the regular entry level iMac, but with that savings, buyers get a little less "mac" as well.

Dxperts say, with a less powerful hard drive, the new iMac will run a little slower. It also has less built in memory for saving data.

However, Apple says it might be just the thing for colleges that buy in bulk.
