Survey finds HPV vaccine doesn't encourage risky behavior

According to a new survey, the vaccine that protects against human papillomavirus or HPV does not encourage risky sexual activity among girls and young women.

HPV is the most common sexually transmitted infection in the U.S.

Two types of the virus are responsible for 70 percent of cervical cancers. Approval of the HPV vaccine prompted concerns, over the years, that it might promote early sex. But, the latest survey by the centers for disease control and prevention, suggests those concerns are unfounded.
