When her unfaithful husband dies in a car crash, Amanda Vaughn (played by Leslie Bibb) is kicked out of her posh ocean-side mansion after it is discovered her husband swindled millions of dollars from innocent people through a Ponzi-like scheme. She is then forced to move back to Dallas, Texas, and in with her mother (played by Annie Potts).
While Amanda has changed for the morally better, the ex-beauty queen isn't welcomed back with open arms. The game of life has changed and now she's targeted by the grownup women who she once bullied in high school that now rule the town.
The show is inspired by the novel "Good Christian B******" by author Kim Gatlin.
"The name of the show is 'GCB.' That's what we've gone with and you can fill in the B however you want," said Marisol Nichols, who plays Amanda's former high school friend Heather Cruz.
Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth stars as Carlene Cockburn, queen of the GCBs, who is shaken by Amanda's return. She doesn't believe Amanda isn't up to her old tricks and stirs up trouble for the newly single mom of two.
"I am trouble, I am, but with all the love in my heart," Chenoweth said.
The show has laughter, tears, sex, revenge and fashionable fun.
"I think that recipe, to have something that's really funny and with a heart, that's something you can relate to. When you tune-in, you really start to love these women, flaws and all," said Bibb.
With a cast this big, you might expect trouble on the set, but not with "Mama" Potts around.
"I won't have it," said the actress. "Not happening here. If she (Bibb) misbehaves, I will yank a knot in her."
But the series isn't just about women and their relationships, viewers will see plenty of men too. Chenoweth and David James Elliot play a very happily married couple.
"We're always in bed, always, which is where we're happiest," joked Chenoweth.
The show also stars Jennifer Aspen, Miriam Shor, Brad Beyer and Mark Deklin.
"GCB" debuts Sunday, March 4, at 10 p.m. on ABC7.
