Mavericks attracts many of the world's top, big wave surfers to San Mateo County coast near Pillar Point. But they can't compete unless Mother Nature provides the right combination of winds and waves.
The Mavericks window closes on March 31st and it doesn't appear the right conditions are in the forecast.
Organizers have no plans to extend that window into April.
