State lawmaker takes aim at PG&E exec bonuses

Democratic Assemblyman Jerry Hill's bill will prohibit ratepayer money from beings used to pay for bonuses based on coporate earnings or share price.

It would require executives to return bonuses if PG&E is fined for violations that occurred under their watch.

The bill is set to be introduced one year after the utility's former CEO Peter Darbee left PG&E after the San Bruno disaster with a $35 million retirement package.
