San Francisco is putting hundreds of new parking meters near the ballpark this summer. Between now and next spring, it will extend the meter operating hours on all nearby streets to 1 p.m. and increase the cost from $5 an hour to $7 an hour. And, drivers will have to pay seven days a week. No break on Sundays.
Fans may not like it, but many neighbors do. The city's transportation director says the goal is to reduce congestion near the ballpark.
