The team and the county agreed to share the $30 million in redevelopment funds seized by a county oversight committee for public education. The money had been earmarked to help pay for the $1 billion stadium project.
Under the settlement, the county school district will get $7 million, enough to balance its budget and avoid teacher layoffs.
The 49ers will get about $23 million over the next five years.
