Occupy Oakland takes over shuttered library

Members of Occupy Oakland have taken over a shuttered library in east Oakland.

Activists claimed they opened the Miller Library early Monday morning. The move was not a spur of the moment decision. Occupy Oakland says members brought hundreds of donated books to the library and that banners have been hung.

Occupiers would not reveal their long-term plans for the library.

So far, Oakland police have no response to the takeover.
