The 75,000 square foot building was donated by Cypress Semiconductor. It doubles the space Second Harvest has to store donations. There is also an 8,000 square foot walk-in cooler. That allows it to offer more fresh food like fruits and vegetables.
The Second Harvest Food Bank didn't do just one ribbon cutting, it had to do six because other companies like Cisco, Applied Materials and SanDisk also donated money to renovate different parts of the building.
