Friends, family march for Derrick Gaines

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.

South San Francisco police say he was reaching for a gun and the officer who fired the fatal shot was cleared by the district attorney of any wrongdoing. However, the boy's family and friends still have many questions about what happened.

Derrick Gaines was shot and killed at an Arco station by Officer Joshua Cabillo on June 5. Friends and family members gathered with picket signs, banners and bullhorns calling for justice. The family says there should have been charges against the officer and they have filed a civil suit against the city and the department.
