2-alarm grass fire near Brentwood contained

BRENTWOOD

The fire was reported at 1:53 p.m. near Albers Court and Deer Valley Road, the dispatcher said.

The blaze had grown to around 50 acres as of 2:45 p.m., fire officials said.

Contra Costa County fire crews assisted the East Contra Costa County Fire Protection District, and Cal Fire was also called to the blaze, the dispatcher said.

There were no injuries reported and no structures were damaged, the dispatcher said.
