Foxconn plans to bring jobs to the US

Here's a twist in outsourcing -- the company that assembles Apple iPhone's in China is looking to set up operations in the U.S.

Foxconn Electronics has been in the news, in recent months, for labor disputes at their iPhone assembly plants.

Now the I-T Journal "Digitimes" says Foxconn is looking at Los Angeles and Detroit as cities that could be considered for U.S. operations.

Labor costs in China are significantly lower and a shift to the U.S. would require a change in Foxconn's business model.
