Since it was originally posted in October, the video featuring Atherton's Reagan Smith singing "I Wanna Know" has racked up more than 2-million hits.
The video was posted by producer Patrice Wilson who is known for viral pop music videos.
YouTube had questions about whether those 2-million hits were authentically generated.
However, Wilson tells the San Jose Mercury News that they did not use spam to bump up the view count.
