Study: Teens consume same calories at Subway, Mcdonald's

The study in this week's "Journal of Adolescent Health" finds no significant difference in calorie intake despite Subway's perceived image of being a healthier fast food choice.

Teens who ate at Subway consumed 955 calories on average. That's only slightly less than the 1,035 calories consumed at McDonald's.

Both groups significantly topped the doctor-recommended 850 calories for lunch.
