It's the smash hit Rock of Ages and the 5 time Tony nominated musical is a parade of iconic 80's hits from bands like Poison, Foreigner, Journey, White Snake and Def Leopard .
Matthew Wolf, VP of Programming of The Kimmel Center said, "Rock of ages is sort of the great American rock and roll story."
It's set on LA's Sunset Strip., and it's the story of small town girl meets big-city dreamer.
"The small town girl heads out to LA to pursue her dreams to become a famous actress and you know a young upstart rock star is trying to make his way working at a club," said Wolf.
It's LA's most legendary rock club and, as they fight to save it, the couple falls in love to some of the greatest songs of the 80's.
"It's sort of the American story. it's about chasing your dreams and believing in yourself. It's about dealing with some hard times. It's about rallying for a cause. It's about camaraderie and friendship and love," stated Wolf.
It's about music, with a rock revue lineup that will take you back to a time when hair was huge and rock star egos were even bigger.
Wolf added, "Its like going to a rock concert in the 80's and 90's. The costumes are fantastic. You get to experience the fashion of the 80's and 90's and you get to experience the sound of the 80's and 90's."
A live heavy metal rock band performs the hits onstage.
"It's not your typical show. I mean when you're sitting there in the audience, everybody is singing along. Everybody is having a good time and that's what is so great about the show. You can see it over and over and over again," said Wolf.
