Miami Heat player Dwayne Wade accepted a YouTube prom invitation from Nicole Muxo, a Florida high school senior.
He says he felt compelled to go after she called him "the perfect prom date."
Wade showed up in Coral Gables wearing prom attire and ready to dance. He also met her real date and her parents while news crews captured the moment.
Afterwards Wade tweeted "I had a blast at prom."
