The Solano County Sheriff's Department, California Highway Patrol and Solano County Probation Department are offering the East Bay city extra officers.
As many as 15 law enforcement officers could be added to Vallejo's regular patrol officers. The aim is to saturate areas that have seen frequent shootings, violence and gang activity.
The operation runs through mid-June.
