Fairfield police searching for three homicide suspects

FAIRFIELD, Calif.

Police have not yet released the name of the 35-year-old Fairfield man who died of a gunshot wound at a local trauma center.

The slaying happened around 10 p.m. during a fight near an apartment complex in the 2300 block of Peach Tree Drive, Lt. Greg Hurlbut said.

The suspects are black males around 5 feet 9 inches tall, police said.

A suspect who was armed with a black handgun has a slender build and short hair. He was wearing a black hat with a white "C" on it, a blue and white plaid short-sleeved shirt, dark jeans and green and orange shoes, police said.

A second suspect has a slender build and shoulder-length dreadlocks. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. The third suspect has a slender build and was wearing a hooded sweatshirt, police said.
