Oakland Fire Department officials say they first received a call about a juvenile who fell two stories out of a window on the 1500 block of 23rd Avenue. When they arrived, however, they determined it was a 4-year-old who'd fallen.
Officials say a witness who saw the girl fall to the concrete, jumped a fence and was able to keep the child still until the ambulance arrived.
The girl was unconscious after she fell, but officials say she eventually regained consciousness and was able to answer questions coherently.
She was transported the hospital. Her condition is unknown.
