The New York Post is reporting that rents in the Big Apple have skyrocketed. The average monthly apartment rent is now more than $3,000 for the first time.
In second-place, San Francisco isn't even close at nearly $2,000 a month.
In contrast, the average national apartment rent is a little over $1,000, or about one-third the New York average.
