Police say Aya Nakano, 22, was gunned down on June 12 after getting into an altercation with two men who had rear-ended his car.
A reward is being offered for the suspect's arrest.
The fundraiser is from 4 p.m. - 11 p.m. at Pedro's Cantina in San Francisco.
Proceeds will go to Nakano's family and toward paying off his student loans.
