Contra Costa County's Community Warning Service will make a test run with a potential new emergency notification provider. Residents will get a call warning them of some sort of disaster and what they should do.
Only residents who live near chemical facilities such as the Richmond Chevron refinery or the Shell refinery in Martinez, and have registered for emergency alerts, will get a phone call.
