A car wrecked along Marsh Creek Road around 9 a.m. Rescuers had to untangle the mangled car to reach people trapped inside. A medical helicopter rushed another victim to the hospital.
The Contra Costa County sheriff's office says one of its deputies was chasing a car. Officials haven't said yet why the deputy wanted the driver to stop.
