The students at Everett Middle School learned Friday that each and every one of them will be receiving a free laptop at the end of the school year.
Facebook says the program is designed to support local communities in need with technology tools necessary for students to further their education.
"Our laptop donation program is just one way that we like to encourage students to get excited and interested in technology by giving them access to that technology," Timothy Campos said.
Facebook has given away 1,000 laptops in the two years of the program. Everett Middle School is the third school the program has targeted just this week.
