San Francisco Police Dept. collecting socks for homeless people

SAN FRANCISCO

The San Francisco Police Department will begin collecting new socks that will be donated to charities throughout the city beginning December 28 through January 31.

"From visiting some of the homeless facilities, the number one thing they need are warm, dry socks and it's our very small way of giving back to the community," San Francisco Police Department Lt. Valerie Matthews said.

You can donate by dropping off new pairs of socks at the Central District Police Station on Vallejo Street.
