The collision occurred around 1:40 p.m. on southbound Highway 680 near the East Capitol Expressway off-ramp and reportedly involved a motorcycle and a sedan, according to the CHP.
Witnesses reported seeing the motorcyclist down in the roadway after the crash, according to the CHP.
Three lanes of traffic were shut down by emergency responders, but reopened within an hour, according to the CHP.
